The Galway Hooker was the name given to boats built in the west of Ireland predominantly Galway to withstand the fierce Atlantic Ocean when shipping cargo such as turf and foods to The Aran islands or across the bay to Mayo. Built by hand with a single sale their design is distinctive and evocative. Recreated here in Alpaca Silver polished and laquered to stop it tarnishing.
